English:

sadyaḥprasādinī viśvasākṣiṇī sākṣivarjitā |
ṣaḍaṅgadēvatāyuktā ṣāḍguṇyaparipūritā ॥ 84 ॥

Tamil:

Meaning:

This verse reveals Śrī Lalitā as the compassionate Mother who responds instantly to sincere devotion and, at the same time, as the Supreme Reality beyond all conceptual understanding.

It begins with reassurance. As Sadyaprasādinī, the Divine Mother is ever ready to shower Her grace. Her compassion is not distant or conditional but immediately available to every heart that turns toward Her with sincerity.

The verse then elevates the seeker’s understanding through two profound names. As Viśvasākiṇī, She is the silent Witness of all creation—the unchanging Presence that illumines every thought, action, and experience. Yet the very next name, Sākivarjitā, takes us beyond even this exalted vision. In the highest realization, there is no distinction between the witness and the witnessed; only the indivisible Reality remains.

The final two names remind us that this transcendental Truth is also lovingly accessible through sacred worship. The Divine Mother is complete in every aspect of Śrīvidyā, surrounded by the powers that assist spiritual practice and endowed with every divine perfection.

Thus, the verse gently guides the seeker from devotion to contemplation, from contemplation to non-dual realization, while never abandoning the path of worship.

Meditation:

This verse gently leads the mind from the experience of grace to the realization of the Absolute.

Meditate upon Sadyaprasādinī and take comfort in knowing that the Divine Mother is ever ready to respond to sincere devotion. Her grace is not earned through complexity but invited through humility, faith, and wholehearted surrender. The moment the heart genuinely turns toward Her, Her compassion begins its silent work.

Reflect upon Viśvasākiṇī and observe your own experience. Thoughts arise and disappear. Emotions change. The body grows and ages. Yet there is an unchanging awareness that silently witnesses every experience. The Upaniṣads repeatedly point seekers toward this witnessing consciousness as the doorway to Self-knowledge.

Then contemplate Sākivarjitā. Even the notion of “I am the witness” belongs to the realm of subtle duality, for it still assumes something separate to be witnessed. In the highest vision of Advaita and Śrīvidyā, all distinctions dissolve. There is neither observer nor observed—only the infinite fullness of Pure Consciousness, which is Śrī Lalitā Herself.

Meditate upon aagadēvatāyuktā and remember that sacred rituals, mantras, and disciplines are not ends in themselves. Like the limbs of a living body, they support and prepare the seeker for the direct experience of the Divine.

Finally, contemplate Ṣāḍguyaparipūritā. Every divine quality—wisdom, strength, sovereignty, compassion, splendour, and fullness—finds its perfect expression in the Divine Mother. As we meditate upon Her, these qualities gradually awaken within our own lives through Her grace.

May Her immediate compassion lead us beyond the changing world, beyond even the silent witness, into the boundless peace of the One without a second.

#383 Sadyaḥ-prasādinī

Sanskrit:

Tamil:

Meaning: She who grants grace immediately.

Reflection: She is the Divine Mother whose compassion flows immediately toward every sincere heart. When the heart is pure and fully surrendered, Her grace can descend in an instant. The moment I turn to Her with humility, faith, and complete surrender, I open myself to the transforming power of Her loving presence.

Contemporary Reflection: She reminds us that profound transformation does not always require years of struggle. A single moment of genuine clarity, forgiveness, surrender, or devotion can change the direction of an entire life. When the heart becomes receptive, grace finds its way without delay.

Meditation: As I sit quietly, I call upon the Divine Mother with complete sincerity. I let go of the need to control outcomes and simply rest in Her presence. I feel Her compassionate grace reaching me even before I finish my prayer. My heart becomes light, my mind becomes peaceful, and I trust that Her response always comes at the perfect moment for my highest good.

#384 Viśva-sākṣinī

Sanskrit:

Tamil:

Meaning: She who is the witness of the entire universe.

Reflection: She is the eternal witness who silently observes the entire universe with perfect wisdom and boundless compassion. She is the Divine Mother who silently witnesses every thought, every action, every being, and every event, remaining ever-present, all-knowing, and untouched by the changing drama of creation. She teaches me that true awareness does not judge or cling but simply illuminates reality. By resting in that awareness, I discover freedom from fear, confusion, and inner turmoil.

Contemporary Reflection: She reminds us that emotional balance begins with observation. When we learn to witness our thoughts instead of immediately reacting to them, we gain clarity, make wiser choices, and gradually free ourselves from fear, unhealthy habits, and limiting patterns.

Meditation: As I sit quietly, I become aware of the silent presence of the Divine Mother watching over every moment of my life with infinite love. I observe my thoughts, emotions, and memories without resisting or clinging to them. In Her compassionate witnessing, my fears lose their strength, my restless mind becomes calm, and I discover a deep inner freedom that has always been present within me.

#385 Sākṣi-varjitā

Sanskrit:

Tamil:

Meaning: She who is beyond even the concept of the witness.

Reflection: She is the Supreme Reality beyond every distinction, even beyond the state of the witness. She reminds me that while awareness observes all experiences, the Divine ultimately transcends every concept, every form, and every limitation. In Her, all dualities dissolve into perfect oneness. She is the Divine Mother who transcends even the state of the witness (sākṣī). In the highest realization, there is no observer, no observed, and no act of observation—only the limitless Absolute remains.

Contemporary Reflection: She teaches that not everything that is real can be seen. Love, peace, truth, and grace are often invisible, yet they shape our lives profoundly. By looking beyond appearances, we become more receptive to the subtle presence of the Divine in every moment.

Meditation: As I sit quietly, I let go of every image, every thought, and every definition of the Divine Mother. I no longer seek to see Her with my eyes, but to experience Her silent presence within my heart. By contemplating Her, I learn that true greatness is measured not by what one possesses, but by what one becomes.

Contemporary Reflection: She teaches that a balanced life requires the harmonious development of many virtues. Knowledge without humility becomes pride. Prosperity without compassion becomes selfishness. Strength without wisdom becomes force. By cultivating noble qualities together, we grow into more complete, compassionate, and spiritually mature human beings.
