Sanskrit:

भक्तिप्रिया भक्तिगम्या भक्तिवश्या भयापहा ।
शाम्भवी शारदाराध्या शर्वाणी शर्मदायिनी ॥ ४२ ॥

English:

bhaktipriyā bhaktigamyā bhaktivaśyā bhayāpahā |
śāmbhavī śāradārādhyā śarvāṇī śarmadāyinī ॥ 42 ॥

Tamil:

Meaning:

In this 42nd verse, Śrī Lalitā appears as:

The embodiment of pure divine love, who is won not by austerity or argument, but by devotion, sincerity, and surrender. She is the source of fearlessness, guiding devotees safely through the trials of life. Even Sarasvatī, the goddess of wisdom, worships Her, acknowledging that love transcends knowledge.

As Śāmbhavī and Śarvāī, She represents the inseparable unity of Śiva and Śakti — the consciousness and energy that pervade all creation. She radiates peace, joy, and auspiciousness, blessing every seeker who turns toward Her with love.

Meditation:

This verse teaches that the Divine Mother responds to the heart, not the head. True bhakti (devotion) dissolves fear, pride, and separation. When you surrender your doubts and love Her sincerely, She becomes approachable, near, and intimate.

Meditate on Her as the remover of fear, sitting within your heart, smiling with compassion. Let devotion—not reasoning—be your bridge to the Divine. As wisdom (Sarasvatī) bows to love, this verse reminds us that the highest realization is not knowing, but belonging.

#118 Bhakti-priyā

Sanskrit: भक्ति-प्रिया

Tamil: ப⁴க்தி-ப்ரியா

Meaning: She who is fond of devotion, rejoicing in the pure love and surrender of her devotees.

Reflection: As Bhakti-priyā, She cherishes heartfelt devotion above all rituals or offerings. She reminds us that love, sincerity, and faith are the true paths to the divine.

Contemporary Reflection: She inspires us to nurture sincerity in our spiritual and personal relationships—valuing authenticity, humility, and gratitude over formality or display.

Meditation: “I bow to Bhakti-priyā, who delights in pure devotion and love offered from the heart.”

#119 Bhakti-gamyā

Sanskrit: भक्ति-गम्या

Tamil: ப⁴க்தி-க³ம்யா

Meaning: She who is reached only through Bhakti — through pure love, surrender, and the melting of the heart. Bhakti-gamyā reveals that intellect, ritual, or analysis cannot reach Her; She opens Herself only to devotion that flows from love, humility, and faith.

Reflection: As Bhakti-gamyā, She is the embodiment of divine responsiveness — the Mother who cannot resist the call of sincere love. When the heart softens in devotion, She enters silently, transforming the devotee’s emotions into pure awareness and grace.

Contemporary Reflection: In a world ruled by logic and achievement, Bhakti-gamyā reminds us to return to simplicity — to the prayer of the heart. She teaches that fulfillment arises not from control but from trust; not from reason but from surrender. True progress begins when love, not intellect, leads our steps toward truth and purpose.

Meditation: “I seek Bhakti-gamyā — the One who is reached through devotion. O Mother, melt my heart in love and guide me through Your grace.”

#120 Bhakti-vaśyā

Sanskrit: भक्ति-व्यष्या

Tamil: ப⁴க்தி-வஶ்யா

Meaning: She who is bound by the devotion of her devotees, whose divine grace flows irresistibly toward sincere hearts. Bhakti-vaśyā means that even the Infinite is drawn by love — the Supreme bends to the call of true devotion.

Reflection: As Bhakti-vaśyā, She shows that devotion itself becomes the key to divine union. When the mind (manas) is offered in prayer and mantra, the heart opens naturally, and Her presence fills the devotee’s being. The more one chants with love, the more She responds with grace — for the Mother cannot resist sincere affection.

Contemporary Reflection: She teaches that the highest power in life is not control, but surrender; not command, but connection. When love is pure and intention clear, even divine energy flows in harmony with that heart. Through devotion and disciplined mind (mana kattupaadu), life becomes guided, peaceful, and blessed.

Meditation: “I honor Bhakti-vaśyā — the compassionate Goddess who is moved by love, bound by devotion, and present wherever the heart calls Her sincerely.”

Sanskrit: भयापहा

Tamil: ப⁴யாபஹா

Meaning: She who removes fear, granting courage, confidence, and peace to those who seek her protection.

Reflection: As Bhayāpahā, She dispels fear and anxiety, reminding devotees of their divine strength and the protective power of faith. Her Abhaya Mudrā assures safety, while Her Varada Mudrā blesses with strength, reminding devotees that divine protection and courage are inseparable.

Contemporary Reflection: She encourages us to face life’s challenges with calm and conviction, trusting that courage born of faith transforms fear into strength.

Meditation: “I bow to Bhayāpahā, the remover of fear, who fills my heart with courage and divine assurance.”

#122 Śāṃbhavī

Sanskrit: शांभवी

Tamil: ஶாம்ப⁴வீ

Meaning: She who is the power of Śambhu (Śiva), the divine consort embodying supreme consciousness and energy in perfect harmony.

Reflection: As Śāṃbhavī, She represents the union of awareness and energy, the stillness that underlies creation, and the dynamic force that sustains it.

Contemporary Reflection: She inspires balance between contemplation and action, urging us to harmonize intellect and intuition, strength and compassion, silence and expression.

Meditation: “I honor Śāṃbhavī, the divine power of Śiva, who awakens harmony and balance within me.”

#123 Śāradārādhyā

Sanskrit: शारदाराध्या

Tamil: ஶாரதா³ராத்⁴யா

Reflection: As Śāradārādhyā, She signifies supreme wisdom beyond knowledge—the divine truth that even the wise revere and seek.

Contemporary Reflection: She reminds us that true wisdom is rooted in humility and devotion, inspiring lifelong learning guided by reverence and inner awareness.

Meditation: “I bow to Śāradārādhyā, the one worshipped by wisdom itself, who reveals truth beyond intellect.”

#124 Śarvāṇī

Sanskrit: शर्वाणी

Tamil: ஶர்வாணீ

Meaning: She who is the Shakti of Śarva (Śiva) — the Earth-embodied aspect of the Divine. As Śarvāṇī, She is the stabilizing power that resolves disturbances connected to one’s place, environment, or foundation in life.

Reflection: As Śarvāṇī, She teaches that life’s harmony begins with rootedness. When our inner and outer foundations are stable, energy flows freely. Her grace clears environmental and karmic blockages, aligning us with divine order.

Contemporary Reflection: Śarvāṇī inspires us to find strength in steadiness — to remain calm during change, and grounded even when life shifts. She reminds us that by honoring the space we live in (our idam), we honor the divine energy that sustains us. Through gratitude and awareness, even the Earth beneath our feet becomes sacred.

Meditation: “I bow to Śarvāṇī, the Shakti of Śarva, who stabilizes my home, heals the energy of my space, and grants me strength, peace, and lasting harmony.”

#125 Śarmadāyinī

Sanskrit: शर्मदायिनी

Tamil: ஶர்மதா³யினீ

Reflection: As Śarmadāyinī, She is the bestower of holistic well-being — physical, mental, and spiritual. She strengthens our power to receive (grāhaṇam), preserve (pālanam), and apply (dhāraṇam) divine knowledge in daily life.

Contemporary Reflection: Śarmadāyinī reminds us that true happiness arises from harmony — when thought, emotion, and action align with truth. She inspires us to live with mindfulness, extend compassion, and use knowledge wisely, turning learning into service and understanding into calm strength.
