अरुणारुणकौसुम्भवस्त्रभास्वत्कटीतटी ।
रत्नकिङ्किणिकारम्यरशनादामभूषिता ॥ १६ ॥
English:
aruṇāruṇakausumbhavastrabhāsvatkaṭītaṭī |
ratnakiṅkiṇikāramyaraśanādāmabhūṣitā ॥ 16 ॥
Tamil:
அருணாருணகௌஸும்ப⁴வஸ்த்ரபா⁴ஸ்வத்கடீதடீ ।
ரத்நகிங்கிணிகாரம்யரஶநாதா³மபூ⁴ஷிதா ॥ 16 ॥
Meaning:
In this 16th verse, Śrī Lalitā appears as:
- Her waist is wrapped in radiant silk of saffron and reddish hues (aruṇa-aruṇa-kausumbha), glowing like the light of dawn. Her clothing, luminous and graceful, enhances the divine glow of her form, representing auspicious beginnings and inner radiance.
- She is adorned with a gem-studded waistband (raśanā-dāma), strung with tiny tinkling bells (ratna-kiṅkiṇikā), which decorate her waist with musical beauty. Every movement releases gentle sounds, symbolizing her dynamic energy manifesting as cosmic rhythm.
Meditation:
I meditate upon Śrī Lalitā, whose waist shines beneath garments of saffron and dawn-light hues, radiating warmth and auspicious grace, and whose gem-studded waistband, adorned with delicate tinkling bells, sings the soft music of creation with every step She takes. May Her sacred glow inspire the light of new beginnings within me and illuminate my path with joy, and may Her cosmic rhythm guide me to move through life with grace, so that each of my actions becomes a note in Her eternal song.

Tamil: அருணாருண-கௌஸும்ப⁴-வஸ்த்ர-பா⁴ஸ்வத்-கடீதடீ
Meaning: Her hips glow with saffron-red silk, like the morning sun.
Reflection: Her reddish garments represent the rising sun of awareness — dispelling the darkness of ignorance and awakening the devotee to higher truths.
Contemporary Reflection: Just as dawn signifies a fresh start, her glowing form reminds us that every day is a chance to renew ourselves, shed old limitations, and embrace clarity.
Meditation: "May her dawn-like brilliance awaken the light of wisdom and new beginnings within me.”

Tamil: ரத்ன-கிங்கிணிகா-ரம்ய-ரஶனா-தா³ம-பூ⁴ஷிதா
Meaning: She wears a bejeweled waistbelt adorned with tiny tinkling bells.
Reflection: Every step She takes becomes a dance, every sound a divine rhythm.
Contemporary Reflection: In your daily life, let even small movements be conscious, rhythmic, and graceful—like Her anklet’s song.
Meditation: “May my every step echo Her presence, each moment become a sacred dance.”
